What is High Security

High Security Locks and keys provide enhanced protection for the owners as opposed to standard hardware. This is achieved through multiple manufacturing features absent in common locks, such as more hardened inserts, security pins and complex keyways for thwarting physical attacks, and strict key Issuing controls such as patent protection on the key blanks and individually registered keys to avoid unauthorized manufacture or duplication.

High Security hardware is often used for commercial and industrial purposes, where large master keyed key systems with many  and often changing different keys and users strongly benefit from the traceability of the keys as well as the increased protection from locks securing potentially valuable or dangerous areas.

How Masterkeying Works

The function of a master key system is to provide access control for different levels of security. It allows for the creation of a hierarchy of keys that can be used to open specific doors. For example, a master key may be used by the building manager to open all doors in the building, while individual keys may be given to employees that only allow them access to certain areas.
